As hard-working people, we all look forward to our annual trips to sunny climes. The travel world is always offering all sorts of price cuts, snap discounts and other price guarantees.

Nice promises. But extensive research has shown that Belgians are paying 15% too much for their holidays. So for the same trip to the same destination in the same hotel, we are paying far more than we should.

Sunweb and LDV United have collected data about thousands of holidays and, under the supervision of a bailiff, incorporated them into an online price comparison tool.

This campaign against high prices for the same trip is being launched under the name ZONDEDJU!

Using Sunweb’s price comparison tool, holidaymakers can find the best price for their favourite trip at any time. A solid first step in Sunweb’s quest to democratise holidays.

“With this price comparison tool, we want to unmask the sometimes incorrect promises about the so-called lowest prices from other tour operators,” says Sofie Callewaert, Sunweb spokeswoman. “For over a year, the package holiday sector has been striving to offer the lowest prices. All the players have year-round discounts and promotions. But the market leaders, Thomas Cook and TUI, claim that they offer the lowest prices, when this is not so. Their offer is hardly transparent.”

Via the ZONDEDJU! platform, LDV United and Sunweb will help travellers to find the cheapest routes to the sun in the long term. In 95% of cases, that appears to be Sunweb. And for the same quality.
